I've always got Togo orders. I went a few times here, and the service is always amazing!! They got the nicest servers. The place is very clean and HUGE! Really chill vibes with lots of tasty food. Really good selection of food and drinks. I love the dim sum! It's definitely my favorite breakfast! I tried the stuffed eggplants for the first time and will be ordering more. It is delicious!! The Taro cake is my daughter's favorite, and we always got some because I don't want any hangry teenager. The shumai is also very delicious! I also see that they have a very good drink selection. Definitely will be coming back to try more stuff. I'm glad they have a great parking lot, but it does get busy on the weekend. They also share parking with Northgate.

Diamond palace is easily my favorite dim sum place in San Diego. The portions are good and they serve dim sum all day long. They also have plenty of seating so you never have to wait. Henry is an awesome server and is very attentive. He is very funny and serves you with a smile. Food comes out quick and I'd say prices are reasonable. I really recommend the creamy egg yolk bun for dessert! It's SOO good. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you're craving dim sum!

We chose Diamond Palace above the other nearby dim sum spots because they're a solid star above the rest, but we didn't know we would stumble upon our new go to! We sadly just missed the cart service that ends at 2pm, but a huge plus is that they serve dim sum all day. We ordered the pork siu mai, shrimp rice roll, baked bbq pork buns, young chow fried rice, sweet rice cake dessert, and chrysanthemum tea. Service was outstanding and we genuinely felt like we made a new friend! Mike immediately made us feel welcome and it was apparent he was a favorite among the regulars. He was super attentive throughout and anticipated everything we were about to ask for. The owner also stopped by to check-in and thanked us for coming which was such a nice touch. We can't wait to go back when the dim sum craving hits again! 5/5 - Pork siu mai - This was one of the highlights of our meal and we would definitely order again and again. Plump, juicy, and packed with a lot of flavor. 5/5 - Shrimp rice roll - Shrimp was very fresh tasting and the rice roll was perfectly tender. Their sauce is excellent and poured at the table so we control how much we wanted (a lot lol) . 5/5 - Baked bbq bun - They were baking when we ordered so they were brought out when they were ready, which was less than 15 minutes. They came out steaming hot and I wish we got a photo of these before digging in because they looked, and tasted, perfect. Good bun to meat ratio, no fatty pieces, and the flavor was spot on. 3.5/5 - Young chow fried rice - Could use a bit more flavor, but overall everything tasted fresh and their homemade chili sauce was a nice supplement. However, we did request to take the egg out because of an allergy so we did miss out on some of the flavor there. Huge portion, could easily feed three adults. 5/5 - Chrysanthemum tea - Loved how floral this was and wish I was able to finish the entire pot! 5/5 - Sweet rice cake dessert - Delicious end to the meal that came straight out of the steamer! The texture and taste reminded me of getting them back home in San Francisco's Chinatown.

My dad, uncle, boyfriend, and I attended a charity event last night for the Buddhist Temple Tuong Van that was focused on an 8-course vegetarian banquet with live music. The food was excellent and we enjoyed every single dish! I've eaten dim sum here a few times and liked their dim sum, and this was my first time coming here for dinner. The banquet had 70 tables, each with about 10 people. For the large volume, I have to commend the chef and staff for the outstanding execution of every dish and timely delivery to the tables. All of our dishes came piping hot and delicious! The flavors were spot on and every single dish was a 5/5 star! The service staff were very efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself was large, very modern in design, elegantly decorated, and has ample parking. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I visited last week for the second time, and had a much better experience than last time! The staff member who helped us took our order right away, but they were a little forgetful. They didn't write down our order and went off of memory, so they brought us the incorrect tea and forgot one of the soups we ordered. However, they were nice and quickly replaced the items when we asked about them. We ate shrimp rice dumplings, har gao, siu mai, egg tarts, egg custard muffins, and beef and egg soup. The portions were large and delicious. It was about $9 for each dim sum dish. Soup was $21 and fed four people.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while. Place is nice and bright. Mike our server was great. He was very personable and interacted with us, which was great! We told him that we did not want pork and made recommendations that aligned with our diet restrictions. MUST try the pea pod stems. So delicious. Everything was fantastic. The egg tarts, yumm! Don't skip on those. The dim sums were yummy as well. The Turnip Cake did have pork, and Mike indicated that there was little bits of it. However, we were curious about the dish so we tried it. And so glad we did. It was really good, and the pork was more of a note, unnoticeable. Chicken wings were crunchy. Everything delicious and came out quick. So glad there's a place closer to home for dimsum then having to go to Convoy.

The interior is much brighter now than what it used to be when it was Lucky Star. The lighting is beautiful, it seems to resemble lotus flowers and crystal balls hanging from it. It felt modern. The square table tops were nice, although they had bars limiting your knees underneath. I felt so far from the table because of this bar, giving me bad posture (I had to hunch closer to my plate). I liked that they had the tablecloth underneath the glass top-- this makes for easy cleanup! Great place to come with your family or friends, whatever you do-- don't eat alone! The portion size has gotten bigger and more filling. We ate: Shrimp Har Gow, Shrimp Rice Rolls, Pan Fried Turnip Cake, Pork Siu Mai, Chicken Feet, Deep-Fried Meat Dumplings, and Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce. A medium-sized pot of chrysanthemum tea, even though only 2 people out of 3 drank it, they charged it as 3 people. The prices for the most part were pretty fair. The only thing that really shocked us was the price of the Chinese broccoli, which was $14. It was a decent-sized plate and they cut up the vegetables for us in advance this time...rather than leaving the broccoli in large strips. $10 I would understand, but $14 is just too much. I usually like ordering this vegetable as an alternating palate cleanser because of all the fried, stuffed, and dough-y items. I might just have to order less than what we ordered today from now on! The Shrimp Har Gow was big! I think they considered the feedback because it was more big and better tasting than the first time I came here. The shrimp was plump, and sweet, with a bit of black pepper. They packed the shrimp into a golf-sized ball. The translucent skin of it was nice and thin. The pan-fried turnip cake came out hot and perfectly fried. It wasn't burnt and the thickness was perfect. It had a bit of a salty crunchy flavor mixed in which was delicious when the soy sauce + chili oil was poured over it. My mom enjoyed the chicken feet which seemed more massive than I've seen them before. One of the feet was almost as big as her palm! The Deep Fried Meat Dumplings were so delicious. But I recommend you eat it when they put it on the table, it's no good cold or reheated. It is a glutinous rice dumpling filled with meat and some veggies. Very tasty with some soy sauce + chili oil poured inside or dipped into. I highlyyyy recommend giving these a try! The Chinese Broccoli (Gai Lan) was cooked to perfection before being plunged into an ice bath-- keeping that vibrant green color. They kept the flowers attached to it (little yellow buds) and I couldn't taste any difference as to when they are removed. The service was quick, friendly, and quiet. We had some servers who refilled our water glasses and gave us a second helping of chili oil. The music was more instrumental piano/orchestras of well-known songs creating nice background music. The space is bright and open. What's nice is that they have laminated menus WITH pictures!! You can look beforehand and then when they swing by with the cart you can ask them if they have so and so~ (whichever caught your eye).
